  • Solar PV Operative

    Location: Cardiff, South Wales, United Kingdom


    This role entails working at height and requires working away from home.


    Hours: Full Time

    Job Description:

    Nuvolt are looking for a motivated and skilled Solar PV Operative to join our team. This full-time role focuses on the hands-on aspects of solar photovoltaic (PV) system installations. The ideal candidate will be involved in various tasks including roof works, cabling, containment, and working at heights. This role requires the flexibility to work away from home as needed.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assisting in the installation of solar PV systems, including roof works and setting up containment systems.

    • Conducting cabling and electrical connections for solar installations.

    • Adhering to safety protocols while working at heights.

    • Maintaining punctuality and demonstrating the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    • Supporting the team in problem-solving on-site challenges.

    • Ensuring project completion to high standards under the guidance of a team leader.

    • Communicating effectively with team members and clients.

    • Understanding and following technical drawings or diagrams related to PV installations.


    Requirements:

    • Experience in PV installation or a related field is preferred.

    • Strong communication skills.

    • Ability to work well within a team.

    • Good client interaction skills.

    • A strong work ethic, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

    • Capability to interpret technical drawings or diagrams.

    • Full, clean driving license.

    • Valid CSCS Card.


    Desirable Qualifications:

    • EAL - Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems is a plus.
