How we handle your information, and the terms for using this website.

Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Nuvolt Ltd collects, uses and protects personal information when you use this website or get in touch with us. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Nuvolt Ltd (“Nuvolt”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. We are a company registered in England & Wales (company number 13454546), with our registered office at Summers House, Pascal Close, Cardiff CF3 0LW.
For any data-protection question or to exercise your rights, contact us at sales@nuvolt.co.uk or 0330 311 2454.
The information we collect
When you submit an enquiry or request through our forms, we collect the details you provide, which may include:
- Your name, work email address, telephone number and company name
- Information about your site or project — such as sector, energy usage, location/postcode, available space and funding preferences
- The content of any message or enquiry you send us
When you browse the site, we also collect limited technical and usage information automatically — such as pages visited, links clicked, time spent on a page and a randomly generated visitor identifier — to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
How we use your information, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information, proposals or services you ask for — on the basis of our legitimate interests (and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract).
- To contact you about your project and related Nuvolt services — on the basis of our legitimate interests in developing our business relationships.
- To understand and improve our website through analytics — on the basis of our legitimate interests in measuring and improving our content.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations where these apply.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time (see “Your rights” below). We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small amount of first-party analytics to measure how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are popular). This does not identify you personally by name unless you choose to submit an enquiry. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not stop you from using the site.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions, including:
- Website hosting — Vercel Inc. (hosting and content delivery)
- Database — Supabase (secure storage of enquiry records)
- Email delivery — Resend (delivery of enquiry notifications and confirmations)
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum — so that your information remains protected to UK standards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our legitimate business purposes — typically up to 24 months after our last contact with you — unless we have an ongoing relationship or a legal reason to keep it for longer. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or limited form only.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- request a copy of your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email sales@nuvolt.co.uk. We will respond within the timescales required by law.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and keep our measures under review.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
