The Vale Resort
Solar PV plus EV charging delivered live across a working luxury resort and golf club.
Strengthening sustainability without compromising guest experience
The Vale Resort was looking to reduce energy costs, generate renewable electricity on-site and support its long-term sustainability strategy. As a live hospitality and leisure destination, the challenge was delivering infrastructure improvements while maintaining the high standards expected by guests, members and visiting teams.

Renewable energy infrastructure designed around resort operations
Nuvolt designed and delivered a rooftop solar PV installation on the resort's golf club building alongside EV charging infrastructure within the main car park. Detailed planning and phased delivery ensured works could be completed safely and efficiently while minimising disruption to daily operations, guest experience and scheduled activities across the wider estate.
- Delivered within a live luxury hospitality environment with no disruption
- Maintained guest experience, member access, and scheduled events throughout
- Reduced reliance on grid electricity during peak daytime demand
- Introduced EV charging to support changing visitor behaviour
- Improved long-term cost control and operational resilience
Greater energy resilience with measurable environmental benefits
The completed installation generates approximately 148.9 MWh of renewable electricity annually, reducing reliance on grid energy and strengthening energy resilience across the resort. The project delivers annual carbon savings of approximately 28.8 tonnes CO₂ while supporting the Vale Resort's wider sustainability objectives and long-term operational strategy.
